The most expensive house for sale in August is worth €5 mln
Sale offers for some of the poshest properties declined by €200,000 in a month

A house in downtown Sofia with a restaurant on the ground floor and a pond is the most expensive property offered in Bulgaria in August, according to the rating of imot.bg. The price is €5 mln, or €8,064.51/sq m. The four-storey house has a built-up area of 620 sq m, 18 rooms and two kitchens. The property has been renovated and refurbished with designer furniture, and there is a pavilion near the pond, reads the description of the luxurious property. Imot.bg has calculated that if one borrows a 30-year loan to purchase the house, the monthly repayment instalment would be €36,688.
The second most expensive property in the ranking is a house that is a cultural monument, located across the Sheinovo Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital and built in 1912. There is a possibility an extension to the house to be built and additional storeys to be raised. Its modest price is €3 mln. An old-fashioned style house in Boyana district near Sofia, offered at €2.8 mln, ranks third. Among the advantages of this exclusive property, built in 1996, are a yard of almost one decare, a swimming pool, a sauna for eight people, a Russian bath, a billiard room and a cinema hall.
A maisonette without slanting ceilings, located near a subway station and offered at €1,2 mln, ranks fourth. All its premises are 2.60 m high and a snow-melting system has been installed under the pavement of the terraces. A penthouse in Boyana with an area of 500 sq m is being offered at the same price. The furniture in it is Roche Bobois, the parquet flooring is produced by Element7 and the impressive lighting items bear the Lutron brand. The sixth position in the ranking is occupied by a multi-bedroom apartment, located in a boutique building in South Park, offered at almost €1 mln. The property is on two levels with a total built-up area of 303 sq m. An aristocratic multi-bedroom flat near the so-called Doctors' Garden, located on the corner of Tsar Osvoboditel boulevard and San Stefano street, across the Greek Embassy, comes next in the ranking with a sale offer of €950,000.
