Especially for the Modern gallery the artist will present some of his underwater adventure in his colorful and attractive photos. Mihail Zaimov has two solo exhibitions in Sozopol and Varna. The exhibition at Museum Gallery of Modern Art in Sofia will last from 5 to 12 of July.



The exhibition would feature more than 40 photos taken during the last couple of years in the Pacific and Indian Oceans, the Red, Black and Mediterranean seas. Unlike the previous exhibitions, in this one the author is attempting to seek a more abstract expression with accent on the matter and form.
The exhibition will be opened for visitors on July 5th (at 19:00h) at the Museum Gallery for Modern Arts in Sofia, Bulgaria. The event will be presented by the major Bulgarian artist Gredi Assa. 

 

Michael Zaimov was born on March 16, 1967 in Sofia. He completed his secondary education in Third Shift High School in Sofia – “I was quite rebellious and changed many schools. In the end I landed in the Third Shift High School where the real men and women went.” and  graduated History of Art.



Michael Zaimov loves the sea since an early age – he remembers how the older girls took him to the shore and made him swim alongside them. And later, to prove his masculinity, he had to jump from one of the highest cliffs in Sozopol – Palikarito. He admits to having been scared, but the challenge was even greater - but  today the challenge is extreme underwater photography.
