''Weekend'' train to Varna to be launched during the summer season

The BDZ (Bulgarian National Railway Company) will launch two more trains between Sofia and Varna as of April 30, announced officials from the company. The Varna "weekend” train will travel to the sea coast on Friday and it will return back on Sunday. It will stop at Pleven and Gorna Oryahovitsa. The compositions consist of five second-class recycled carriages plus a buffet car. Two of the carriages have been operated for the first time since being renovated. These are not customised compartments and each has 58 seats. Passengers may use the electricity power outlets for laptops. A reserved seat return  ticket Sofia - Varna - Sofia costs BGN 35.60.
The weekend train to Bourgas was launched on April 16. The railway composition is made of refurbished carriages. A return ticket costs BGN 28.20.
