Lapachi against VAT draining is conducted on the territory of Sofia and Petrich

Special police operation codenamed Lapachite targeted at VAT draining is being carried out on the territory of Sofia and Petrich, Minister of Interior and Deputy Prime Minister of Bulgaria Tsvetan Tsvetanov announced.
"The objective the Interior Ministry set to focus its work are not only on heavy crime, but also on financial crimes, which is one of the most important anti-crisis measure to restrict budget draining in order to optimize the finances of the state," Minister Tsvetanov said.
There are currently detained five persons in Petrich, and one person is detained in Sofia.
