Ruse Airport on concession

"The Ruse Airport will be put on concession within a year or a year and a half," Kamen Kichev, Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications told BTA. We are preparing a concession analysis and it has provoked investors’ interest, Kichev noted. He commented that the terms for the concessioning would be much more favorable than those set during the first two attempts.

"The airport has to be opened for use very soon in order to prevent its complete deterioration. Bulgaria would hardly have the opportunity to build such facilities in the near future," added Kichev.
The Ruse Airport can handle cargo planes, business aircraft and helicopters, civil flights, agricultural aircraft, firefighting aircraft, etc.
