Construction of Danube Bridge 2 delayed due to concession issues

The problem with the concession for the extraction of inert materials needed for the construction of Danube Bridge 2 should be resolved immediately, said the project manager Alberto Bergara at a meeting with the mayor of Vidin Rumen Vidov, announced the municipality. Delays in this process hinder the construction of the facility, explained Bergara.
Rumen Vidov promised to inform the Prime Minister Boyko Borissov on the issue during their upcoming meeting, and to request assistance for a prompt and effective solution.
Municipal officials added that the initiative is now in the hands of the Government which is expected to initiate a concession procedure for the extraction of construction materials and to select a concessionaire company.
